Michelia figo and Michelia alba: Two Fragrant Plants Nobody Names Properly
Hanxiao and bailan are close relatives, both grown for scent, and both commonly mislabelled. Four centimetres of leaf, a millimetre of petiole and three months of calendar tell them apart.
